Substrates: Concrete, plaster, masonry, gypsum, and wood works.
Area of Use: Interior use.
A good surface preparation and following the method statement / recommended system procedure of Ritver is an ideal recommendation for the application of Ritver Stucco Putty White.
For Plaster, Masonry & Concrete:
Achieve a good and clean surface by removing all contaminants by cleaning & drying. A laitance free surface should be achieved by good sweep blast or a wire brush. Before applying the Ritver Stucco Putty White apply one coat of Ritver PVA Primer Sealer and allow drying.
For Wood & Timber:
Achieve a good and clean surface by removing all contaminants by cleaning & drying treatment with Ritver Wood Preservative compound is advisable. Start off with a good coat of Ritver Wood Primer and allow to dry well.
Exclusions for successful application include perpetually wet surfaces and also large cavities on wooden surfaces.
Adequate ventilation is an ideal situation as it helps in drying and the good application itself. Avoid high humid conditions i.e., >95% when condensation is likely to interfere and also when the surface temperature is at least 3°C above dew point. Apply the material using a trowel or
spatula making sure that the thickness is uniform. Apply the material at a maximum of 1 mm thickness or lower at one time to avoid cracking. Build the thickness desired using multiple coats but ensuring the previous coat is dry before applying in top of it. Never apply at very high thickness in one application!
