Ritver Texture Fine is a tough coating based on a suitable acrylate copolymer latex, pigmented with Titanium Dioxide and other alkali-resistant pigments, with good lightfastness and strong water resistance.
It forms a good aggregate with a selected range of mineral quartz and other texture-enhancing combinations of rock.
Its formulation incorporates fungicides and algaecides, and it exhibits excellent weather resistance.

Substrates: Concrete, plaster, masonry, gypsum, blockwork, and timber
Area of Use: Interior and exterior applications with a textured finish

A good surface preparation and adhering to the method statement or recommended system procedure of Ritver is strongly recommended for the application of Texture Fine.

For Plaster, Masonry & Concrete:
Achieve a clean surface by removing all contaminants by cleaning and drying.
A laitance-free surface should be achieved by sweep blasting or using a wire brush.
Before applying Texture Fine, apply one coat of Ritver Alkali Resistant Primer or Ritver All Weather Tex Primer and allow to dry.
Apply one uniform coat or two nominal coats with a fine roller and spread evenly to the desired texture.

For Old and Painted Surfaces:
If the surface is painted or aged and shows visible dusting, chalking, or friability, ensure that all loose material is removed by scraping or using a metal brush.
If the situation is critical, torching is recommended. Apply a good coat of Ritver Fungicidal Wash Compound and allow to dry.
Follow this with one or two coats of Ritver Alkali Resistant Primer and continue as above with the full system.

For Wood & Timber:
Achieve a clean surface by cleaning and drying.
Treatment with Ritver Wood Preservative is advisable.
Start off with a good coat of Ritver Wood Primer and allow to dry thoroughly.
Follow this with one or two coats of Ritver Alkali Resistant Primer and continue as described above.
Exclusions for successful application include constantly wet surfaces and large cavities on wood or concrete surfaces.

Adequate ventilation is an ideal situation as it helps in drying and the good application itself. Avoid high humid conditions i.e., >95% when condensation is likely to interfere and also when the surface temperature is at least 3°C above dew point. One can add 5 to 10% of sweet water for ease of application depending on the suitability of application. Application is done with appropriate roller to give the desired texture.

Caution:
a. Over diluting would result in a flat and wrong texture.
b. In case of hot climatic conditions were the substrate could be very hot it is necessary that adequate cooling is done after the primer is applied and before the application of the texture with good amounts of cold water.
